A leading law firm seeks a highly qualified mid-level licensing associate to join its Life Sciences group. The role focuses on intellectual property licensing and technology transactions within the life sciences arena, including support for corporate transactions.

The associate will draft and negotiate IP licenses (patent and trademark), joint development, collaboration, and strategic alliance agreements, technology licenses and services agreements (including software-as-a-service), and distribution agreements, as well as perform IP and technology transaction due diligence and technology transfers.

Candidates must be capable of working in teams and managing substantial components of transactions independently. The position offers a collaborative, collegial, and entrepreneurial atmosphere with cross-practice and cross-office collaboration.

3–4 years of experience in IP licensing, technology transfer, and technology transactions
Experience with IP and technology due diligence in corporate transactions in the life sciences sector
Drafting and negotiating IP licenses, joint development/collaboration agreements, strategic alliances, technology licenses and services agreements, and distribution agreements
Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)
