Mid-Level Associate, Private Equity Debt Finance — San Francisco

An established national law firm is seeking a mid-level associate for its Debt Finance group in the San Francisco office. The role focuses on financing work for private equity transactions, including leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings and corporate growth financings.

The successful candidate will work on matters for private equity sponsors and lending parties (banks and private credit lenders), handling drafting and negotiation of commitment papers, credit agreements and collateral documentation. The team emphasizes collaborative, cross-practice work across offices.

• Several years' transactional experience in leveraged finance or private equity debt, representing private equity sponsors and/or lenders
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating commitment papers, credit agreements and collateral/security documents
• Outstanding academic credentials and prior experience at a comparable firm
• Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly; strong written and verbal communication skills
