Private Equity Debt Finance Associate – Washington, DC

A leading law firm seeks a highly qualified mid-level associate to join its Debt Finance group in Washington, DC. The role centers on representing private equity sponsors and/or banks and private credit lenders in connection with term and revolving loan facilities for leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and corporate growth.

The successful candidate will work across finance and banking matters, with substantial responsibility for drafting and negotiating commitment papers, credit agreements, and collateral documents. The firm is known for a collaborative, collegial, and entrepreneurial culture in which lawyers and professional staff work across practice areas and geographies.

• Mid-level associate with law firm experience in debt finance
• Experience representing private equity sponsors and/or banks and private credit lenders in term and revolving loan facilities for leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and corporate growth
• Experience drafting and negotiating commitment papers, credit agreements, and collateral documents
• Outstanding academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)
