Mid-Level Corporate / M&A / Private Equity Associate

Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Corporate Group in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of experience advising private equity funds, institutional investors, family offices, alternative asset managers, and portfolio companies on complex transactions, including leveraged buyouts, add-on acquisitions, divestitures, growth investments, strategic joint ventures, and general corporate matters.

• Hands-on drafting and negotiating experience in M&A and private equity transactions, including investment agreements and related documentation.
• Proven ability to lead client communications, co-lead negotiation calls, and manage key aspects of transactions from due diligence through closing.
• Preference for experience in the middle market.
• Must be an active member of the Illinois bar.

Salary range: $235,000–$390,000, depending on experience and other factors.
