A leading law firm is seeking a highly qualified mid-level associate to join its Life Sciences group in Philadelphia. The role focuses on intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and other technology transactions within the life sciences sector.

The successful candidate will support corporate transactions in the life sciences arena, including intellectual property and technology transaction due diligence. Day-to-day work will involve drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, such as patent and trademark licenses, joint development and collaboration agreements, strategic alliance agreements, technology licenses, services agreements, and distribution agreements.

This is a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where lawyers across practice areas and offices work together on complex, cross-border matters. Candidates with experience in adjacent fields are welcome to apply, though direct licensing experience will be weighted most heavily.

3–4 years of experience in intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and technology transactions
Experience with IP and technology transaction due diligence in corporate transactions
Drafting and negotiating IP licenses, joint development, collaboration, strategic alliance, technology licenses, services agreements, and distribution agreements
Ability to work in teams and manage substantial components of transactions independently
Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain prompt admission
