We are seeking an associate to manage insurance coverage files and coordinate complex litigation matters arising from construction, professional liability and financial-risk sectors. The role involves analyzing coverage, advising insurer clients on a wide range of policies (CGL, project wrap-ups, professional indemnity, cyber, D&O, product liability, crime, etc.), and overseeing defence counsel across North America.

The successful candidate will often lead coverage investigations and disputes and may appear in court or at mediations on behalf of insurers. You will work regularly with anglophone and francophone stakeholders across jurisdictions, so fluent written and spoken English and French are required.

Member in good standing of a Canadian bar
Common law and/or civil law diploma
Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in insurance coverage, litigation or litigation management
Fluent bilingualism in French and English, verbal and written
Proven experience drafting high-quality reports, coordinating defence counsel and managing coverage disputes
Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation and client-relationship skills; meticulous attention to detail
