Seeking a lateral partner to join a well-established US law firm’s Energy & Environmental practice in San Francisco. The role will focus on counseling developers, operators and other industry clients on regulatory, permitting, transactional and compliance matters across the energy and environmental space.

The successful candidate will have a track record of originating and managing matters, building client relationships, and leading teams. This is an opportunity to grow a portable practice within a broad platform that handles complex regulatory and commercial work.

Partner-level experience in energy and/or environmental law with substantial client-facing responsibility
Proven business development skills and a history of generating or bringing work to a practice
Experience with regulatory, permitting, compliance and transactional matters typical to the energy/environment sector
Bar admission in California (or ability to become admitted) and strong professional references
Ability to lead teams, mentor junior lawyers, and integrate into a multidisciplinary practice
