Patent Prosecution Associate — Intellectual Property, Los Angeles

Seeking a junior to mid‑level patent prosecution associate for a well‑established U.S. practice. The role focuses on life‑sciences/biotech patent prosecution and related counseling in a collaborative, team‑oriented office.

Responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications, preparing opinions, supporting due diligence and licensing matters, and providing litigation support and client counseling on life‑sciences matters. The position operates on a hybrid schedule.

Candidates will join a supportive environment handling sophisticated, national and international work across biotechnology and related technical areas.

• Minimum 2 years patent prosecution experience, preferably with life‑sciences/biotech clients
• Advanced degree in biology, chemistry, or a biotechnical discipline
• Experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications
• Registered with the USPTO and comfortable with opinion work, due diligence, licensing, and litigation support
