Apply in confidence →Seeking a junior to mid-level patent prosecution associate with a mechanical or aerospace engineering background to join an established U.S. IP practice. This role is open to candidates for the Washington, D.C., New York, or Los Angeles offices.
The team handles patent prosecution across a range of technologies and is supported by patent strategists and litigators. Successful candidates will work on drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications and advising clients on portfolio development.
- 1–3 years of patent prosecution experience (USPTO or law firm experience)
- Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related technical field
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; admission to and good standing with the relevant state bar
- Preferred: prior experience as a patent examiner and/or USPTO registration (agent/attorney)
- Strong writing, analytical skills, and excellent academic credentials; industry experience a plus
