Associate, Private Companies (Corporate)

National law firm seeks a 3rd–6th year associate to join a busy private companies/venture team in the firm's U.S. offices (opportunities include the Washington, D.C. and Reston, VA areas). The role focuses on advising early‑stage and growth‑stage, venture‑backed companies and their investors across the corporate lifecycle.

Typical work includes counseling on venture capital financings, general corporate matters through growth stages, and exit/liquidity events. Candidates will join a growing national practice and work on transactional matters for high‑growth companies and investor clients.

• 3–6 years of corporate transactional experience (early‑stage and growth‑stage companies)
• Strong experience with venture capital financings and company liquidity events
• Prior experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm
• Demonstrated academic achievement and strong drafting/transactional skills
