A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced real estate associate to join its Real Estate practice in New York, supporting partners and deal teams on the real estate components of larger corporate transactions. The role draws work from the firm's M&A, Finance, Structured Finance, and Energy & Infrastructure teams, offering a technical, deal-focused position with significant responsibility.

The practice advises a broad range of market participants — public and private investors, private equity, institutional investors, developers, financial institutions, and alternative lenders — on complex, high-stakes real estate transactions across the globe. Capabilities span acquisitions, dispositions, and development of large properties and portfolios, through to corporate and finance matters including M&A, joint ventures, public offerings, and REIT and UPREIT transactions.

The associate will contribute to the execution of sophisticated transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and sale-leaseback transactions across industry groups, working seamlessly alongside corporate, finance, and tax colleagues.

Minimum of five years of commercial real estate transaction experience at a top law firm
Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate principal transaction documents
Experience managing due diligence processes, including title, survey, and lease review
Comfort coordinating among internal and external stakeholders across practice areas
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
