We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Lawyer (qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales) with 3–6 years' PQE to join our highly regarded Real Estate team. This is the first associate hire into the Real Estate team within our Belfast office, working primarily as an extension of our London team, which comprises three Partners, fifteen Associates, one Knowledge Lawyer, and two Trainees.

In this role, you will advise leading multinational corporates on their occupational requirements in the UK, assist with due diligence and post-completion matters, support asset management work for institutional investor clients, and assist on UK real estate investment acquisitions and disposals. You will also work closely with our London Banking and Corporate teams to support real estate finance transactions and multi-jurisdictional M&A, manage paralegals in the Belfast office, and travel to London as required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Advising on UK real estate investment and occupational matters
  • Managing due diligence and post-completion processes
  • Supporting asset management and real estate finance transactions
  • Coordinating multi-jurisdictional M&A with our Corporate team
  • Mentoring and managing paralegals
  • Sharing knowledge and contributing to team development

Required skills and experience:

  • Qualified lawyer with excellent academics
  • Substantial experience in commercial real estate gained within an international or city law firm
  • Good understanding of Land Registry and HMRC processes and forms
  • Strong drafting, communication, and analytical skills
  • Commercial mindset with a 'client first' service orientation
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and work effectively both independently and in a team
  • Flexible approach and willingness to travel to London as required
