Senior Associate opportunity in a market-leading Cargo team within a large international maritime practice. The role is open to candidates in the UK with flexibility to be based in either of two south-east offices.

The team handles a broad range of marine recovery, cargo and transportation liability matters across the whole logistics chain, including sea, road, rail and air carriage, warehousing and storage. You will work on cross-border recovery actions, CMR and transit claims, freight, demurrage and related disputes for insurers, carriers and logistics providers.

The role involves managing a varied caseload from inception to resolution, supervising junior lawyers, contributing to business development, and working closely with clients and brokers on complex, high-value matters.

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with strong post-qualification experience, ideally within a marine, shipping or insurance practice
Significant experience handling cargo, marine recovery and transportation liability matters, including cross-border claims
Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills; ability to run matters with autonomy and manage client relationships
Experience supervising junior lawyers and an interest in business development
