An ambitious and rapidly growing Finance & Restructuring practice is seeking a (Senior) Associate with 3–8 years of experience to join a dynamic, international team in Amsterdam. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer ready to step up from an execution-focused role to an independent transaction specialist, with a clear path toward a leadership position within a thriving international practice.

As part of this team, you will work on complex financing and restructuring matters, acting as lead counsel for banks, debt funds, private equity houses, developers, investors, and corporates on national and cross-border transactions. You will be involved in structuring, documentation, and execution, with direct exposure to leveraged finance, asset-based lending, real estate finance, project finance, and special situations.

From day one, you will take on substantial responsibility: managing files, liaising directly with clients and counterparties, and contributing to the commercial and strategic side of transactions. The practice encourages more than a supporting or local counsel role—you will develop the skills to lead deals, negotiate documents, and build your own client base over time. Given the team’s size, you will work closely with senior partners and have ample room to develop your expertise in finance, restructuring, and insolvency.

Completed master’s degree in law and Bar qualification
3–8 years of experience in finance, banking, restructuring, or insolvency
Excellent command of both Dutch and English
