Apply in confidence →Join a growing US private client & tax team within an internationally connected law practice. The role focuses on complex cross-border estate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and families, supporting delivery of technically robust, bespoke advice.
The position involves leading project workstreams through to partner review, drafting complete estate planning packages (wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives and ancillary documents), and coordinating with trustees, bankers, accountants and other advisors across jurisdictions.
- Admitted to the New York State Bar
- Minimum 5+ years' post-qualification experience in a law firm or specialist legal setting
- Strong technical knowledge of cross-border US tax and trust issues; experience drafting wills, trusts and ancillary estate planning documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication, project management skills, and client-facing judgment
- LL.M. in Taxation or equivalent tax qualification is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones; flexible/hybrid working style
