We are seeking a senior associate to join a highly regarded Real Estate Funds practice within a global law firm's Asset Management group in Washington, D.C. The role involves working alongside partners and leading teams in fundraising activities for real estate funds.

The position offers the opportunity to represent real estate fund sponsors and investors in legal, regulatory, and transactional matters, and to advise on the formation, structuring, and management of open-end and closed-end real estate funds, co-investment vehicles, and other real estate investment products.

You will draft, review, and negotiate fund offering documents, partnership agreements, side letters, and co-investment vehicle documents; coordinate with clients, investors, and service providers to facilitate fund closings; support due diligence for real estate acquisitions and investments; and monitor regulatory changes affecting real estate funds. The role also involves supervising junior team members and helping partners maintain client relationships.

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice in Washington, D.C.
Minimum of 5 years of experience at a global law firm focusing on real estate funds, co-investment vehicles, and real estate investment products
Proven experience with open-end and closed-end fund structures
Experience representing real estate fund sponsors and investors
Strong knowledge of real estate fund structures, securities laws, and regulatory frameworks
Ability to draft and negotiate complex legal documents
Proficiency in using AI technologies responsibly and ethically
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Willingness to lead and mentor junior associates
