Senior Associate, Tax

Senior Associate role within a national Tax team, based in Sydney or Melbourne. You will work on complex income tax matters across advisory, transactional structuring and tax controversy, including transfer pricing and disputes.

The role involves close collaboration with specialist teams (Corporate M&A, Banking & Finance, Investment Funds, Real Estate and Dispute Resolution) to deliver integrated, commercially focused advice. There is regular exposure to senior lawyers and external counsel on high‑profile matters.

• Proven tax law experience, preferably from a large firm or recognised tax practice.
• Experience across tax advisory, transactional work and/or tax controversy (audits, objections, litigation and transfer pricing).
• Comfortable managing smaller matters autonomously and contributing to larger matters as part of a team.
• Strong commercial judgement, client-facing experience and a desire to develop and mentor others.
