Senior Associate, Tax

An international law firm in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced senior tax associate with 6 to 8 years of experience to join its fast-growing commercial tax practice. You will advise national and international clients on complex Dutch and cross-border tax matters, working within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with colleagues in other jurisdictions.

Our tax practice is part of a global network of more than 50 offices, and the Amsterdam team plays a central role in cross-border tax work. You will have the opportunity to work independently on high-profile matters, build direct client relationships, and develop your expertise in a supportive, international environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Advise on M&A transactions, restructurings, and tax-related procedures before various authorities.
• Handle tax matters involving international trade, customs and VAT, real estate transactions, and technology companies.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other practice groups and foreign offices on cross-border issues.

Your profile:

• Completed LL.M. in Tax Law (Fiscaal Recht).
• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in a commercial tax practice.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Independent, entrepreneurial, and client-focused, with strong communication and drafting skills.
• Completed Dutch bar training (Beroepsopleiding Advocaten) is a plus.
