An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate to join a national volume liability defence team, handling a varied caseload of employers' liability and public liability claims. This is a leading role within a well-established national personal injury practice, working across both pre-litigation and litigated matters of mixed value.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of casualty claims and provide high-quality, commercially focused advice to a broad range of insurer and commercial clients, while supporting the wider team. The role involves close work with leading market practitioners and a genuinely collaborative approach to progressing claims efficiently.

Clients include EL/PL insurers, London Market insurers, loss adjusters, corporate clients, public sector and local authorities, SME insureds, and leisure and retail businesses. Matters span defective premises and property claims, product liability, and other casualty work across a range of sectors.

The team takes a practical, client-focused approach, supported by in-house research and development capability and an innovative suite of technology and process tools. The role offers genuine development opportunities, including client and international secondments, within a supportive and inclusive culture.

5+ years' experience as a UK qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified lawyer with relevant experience
Strong defendant personal injury experience, ideally within EL/PL
Litigation experience is essential
Experience managing a varied caseload with competing priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
Commercially focused and collaborative approach
Working knowledge of policy coverage
