A leading international law firm
Apply in confidence →A senior lawyer is sought to join the Risk function in a strategic role focused on conflicts of interest and innovation, working closely with the head of conflicts at the centre of the firm's client and matter opening processes. This high-impact position offers a unique combination of technical legal work, commercial decision-making and innovation delivery.
The role involves advising partners and senior stakeholders on complex legal and commercial conflict issues, shaping risk decisions on new mandates, and leading the development of technology to improve onboarding and risk management. You will act as a senior escalation point for high-risk or sensitive mandates, oversee the design and implementation of information barriers, and support the client and matter acceptance process across multi-jurisdictional engagements.
Additionally, you will proactively manage the firm's adoption of engagement letters, conflict provisions, waivers and client terms, advise on non-standard client terms and outside counsel guidelines, and identify opportunities to streamline conflicts workflows through automation and improved data flow. The position requires acting as a trusted adviser to partners, collaborating across Risk & Compliance, Finance, IT and Business Development teams, and supporting the delivery of training on conflicts processes.
The firm promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, offering a balanced hybrid working model with more time in the office than at home. Benefits include private medical insurance, health cash plan, dental insurance, life assurance, critical illness insurance, matched pension contributions up to 7%, holiday trading, and various wellbeing and professional development initiatives.
