Solicitor - Catastrophic Injury & Large Loss - London

Join a nationally recognised Major Injury & Casualty team, one of the largest in the UK, acting for a broad roster of well-known Tier 1 insurers on complex, catastrophic and large-loss claims. This is a hybrid role with flexibility around office attendance and location.

You will manage your own caseload of high-value defendant claims, including brain and spinal injury, amputations, polytrauma, severe psychiatric injury and chronic pain matters typically valued from £100,000 to over £20m. The work spans employers' liability, public liability and motor claims, and involves drafting pleadings, client reporting, court appearances, liability investigations, evidence gathering, instructing experts and considering medical causation issues.

You will work alongside and assist partners while taking ownership of your own matters, prioritising work to meet court deadlines, directions and client service level agreements. Building internal and external relationships to maintain client relationships and develop business networks is also key.

• 1+ years' PQE in litigation with EL/PL, catastrophic injury, large loss or serious injury experience
• Experience with case values over £100,000
• Technically experienced in employers' liability, public liability, motor, catastrophic injury, serious injury, personal injury or complex/large loss work
• Ideally experienced handling high-value defendant files, either independently or assisting more senior team members
• Familiarity with working in a commercial environment
• Desirable: defendant work experience and the ability to prioritise under pressure
