A nationally recognized technology transactions practice is seeking a mid-level associate to join its collaborative, entrepreneurial team advising life sciences companies. The group works with clients across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, digital health, diagnostics, and discovery tools on the strategic commercial arrangements that underpin the development and commercialization of their technology and support business growth.

The work spans partnering and collaboration agreements, asset sales and spin-outs, foundational technology licenses with academic institutions and companies, manufacturing arrangements, and other technology-focused operational agreements. Associates benefit from early client contact, exposure to a broad range of transactions, and the opportunity to work closely with attorneys across the firm.

The role may be based in any firm office, with a preference for Palo Alto, San Diego, or Boston.

3–6 years of transactional and licensing experience
Genuine interest in and experience with the life sciences sector
Strong transactional drafting and negotiation skills
Collaborative, high-performing, and entrepreneurial mindset
