Trademark Associate — Intellectual Property

National U.S. patent and trademark firm is seeking a Trademark Associate (prosecution-focused) to join its intellectual property practice. The role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States with flexibility for hybrid work and placement in multiple U.S. offices.

The position focuses on trademark and copyright prosecution and counseling, including clearance review, preparing substantive responses to PTO office actions, enforcement matters (cease-and-desist, domain disputes, UDRP, TTAB), and client counseling on branding and social media use. The team advises clients across industries and emphasizes collaborative, client-focused work.

Compensation for this role is listed at $225,000 - $260,000 (adjusted for qualifications and flexible schedules). The firm offers a technology allowance, comprehensive benefits, and family-friendly policies.

• 2–4 years of trademark and copyright experience (U.S. and foreign prosecution and counseling).
• Experience with clearance searches, drafting responses to PTO office actions, and prosecution workflow.
• Proven handling of enforcement matters, including cease-and-desist letters, domain name disputes, UDRP, and TTAB proceedings.
• Active state bar membership in good standing and compliance with CLE requirements.
• Excellent writing, analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with diverse clients.
