A global law firm is seeking an experienced trademark attorney to join its Advertising & Brand Protection practice as a full-time professional-track (non-promotion-track) associate. The role is available in Washington, D.C., New York, or Chicago and offers substantial hands-on work across domestic and international trademark matters.

The position centers on trademark portfolio management, clearance and prosecution, and enforcement for a broad client base. The attorney will work closely with international practitioners on cross-border matters and contribute to licensing and due diligence projects.

Minimum of 5 years of trademark experience; 10+ years preferred
Extensive domestic and international trademark prosecution and portfolio management experience
Experience reviewing trademark search reports and drafting written clearance opinions
Experience monitoring watch notices and preparing written recommendations
Enforcement experience, including cease-and-desist letters, and oppositions and cancellations before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board
Experience managing international trademark matters and liaising with foreign trademark practitioners
Experience with trademark licensing and due diligence projects
Member of the state bar for the applicable office, or eligible for admission by waiver
Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
