The team advises on a full range of SALT matters including transactional planning, audit defense, administrative proceedings, appeals, and multi-jurisdictional litigation, and works closely with colleagues in related practices to support legislative and government-focused matters.
Successful candidates will work on tax controversies and planning for a mix of corporate, private business and individual clients across industries. The role offers exposure to both counseling and controversy work, and opportunities to collaborate on cross-border and transaction-related tax matters.

- 2–6 years of post-qualification experience in U.S. state and local tax matters
- Juris Doctor from a top law school; strong academic record
- Membership in the California bar (required)
- Excellent writing, advocacy, and analytical skills
- LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required; property tax or prior government (state/federal agency or court) experience preferred
