An elite U.S. law firm is seeking a mid-level tax associate to join its highly regarded Tax practice in New York. The role involves advising sponsors of alternative investment funds and handling the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and private equity fund structures.

Ideal candidates will have 4 to 6 years of law firm experience, with class years 2020–2022 preferred, and a strong background in the taxation of complex transactions. Experience with international transactions is a significant plus.

The firm is looking for self-starters who are team-oriented, eager to learn, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

4–6 years of law firm experience in tax (class years 2020–2022 preferred)
Experience representing sponsors of alternative investment funds
Background in taxation of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and/or private equity funds and structures
International transactions experience preferred
JD from an accredited law school and/or Tax LL.M
Admission to and good standing with the New York Bar required
Self-starter with strong team orientation and excellent written and oral communication skills
