Apply in confidence →We are seeking junior and mid-level associates (2nd to 5th year) to join a leading global law firm's top-ranked Antitrust & Competition practice in Brussels. The ideal candidate will bring well-rounded experience in merger control and regulatory matters, particularly within the technology sector, and will collaborate with international teams on high-profile cases before the European Commission and other global antitrust authorities.
Our practice is renowned for its depth in antitrust litigation, merger clearance, and defense against government investigations and enforcement actions. You will work on groundbreaking legal issues, with a strong emphasis on practical, commercial solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on merger control and regulatory filings, including complex Phase II proceedings and multi-jurisdictional reviews.
- Supporting first-chair litigators in defending clients against private and public antitrust litigation, including cartel damages actions and class actions.
- Responding to governmental investigations and dawn raids, developing strategy and defenses.
- Drafting high-quality legal analysis and advocacy materials.
We value exceptional analytical skills, a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, and a creative, team-oriented approach. Strong proficiency in English is required; EU Bar membership is essential.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), with strong background in antitrust/competition law.
- Demonstrated experience in merger control and regulatory work, ideally within the technology sector.
- In-depth knowledge of EU and national competition law regimes.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills, with a commercial and creative approach to problem solving.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
- EU Bar membership is required.
