Associate — Construction (London)

Join a well-established Construction Professional Indemnity (PI) practice in London, working on high-value, technical insurance and construction disputes. The role involves acting for insurers and insureds on complex PI matters, covering professional negligence, design errors, defects, delay and related construction risks.

You will work across litigation and alternative dispute resolution (arbitration, adjudication, mediation), advise on policy coverage and notifications, and support strategic claims management and risk mitigation. The position involves close collaboration with colleagues across the UK and on multi-jurisdictional matters.

• 4–7 years' post-qualification experience with a strong track record in Construction Professional Indemnity and/or professional negligence litigation.
• Experience acting for insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates/brokers or insureds in PI disputes; construction-sector experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, professional duties and technical documentation; excellent legal analysis and drafting skills.
• Proven case management ability, confidence dealing directly with insurer clients and construction professionals, and willingness to supervise junior team members.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in client development to support growth of the Construction PI practice.
