Energy & Projects Associate Attorney – Midlevel

We are seeking highly motivated midlevel associates to join a nationally recognized Projects, Energy, Environment & Resources practice. This role sits at the intersection of digital infrastructure and energy transition, helping clients design power strategies and navigate state and federal regulatory frameworks.

Work includes negotiating complex power purchase agreements and custom energy service agreements for developers, utilities, and corporate buyers, including major technology companies and data center developers. You will advise on electric market design issues within RTOs/ISOs, including capacity market mechanisms, large load and generator interconnection policies, and market participation. The position also involves representing clients in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and counseling on emerging energy policy, renewable integration, and carbon-free procurement.

• 3–6 years of energy law experience, ideally combining regulatory and transactional work
• Familiarity with the Federal Power Act, power market mechanics, and power transaction structures
• Demonstrated ability to draft bespoke energy contracts
• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice (or eligible to waive in) in the relevant jurisdiction
