A Singapore-based law practice is seeking an Associate to join its Family team, advising an internationally located client base on matrimonial and family matters. The role sits within a dispute resolution-focused group and involves close collaboration with colleagues across the region.

The position centers on advising and assisting clients in sensitive family disputes, with a caseload spanning divorce, financial and children matters. You will work alongside a team of family lawyers of diverse backgrounds and expertise.

Key responsibilities include drafting legal documents and correspondence, conducting legal research, attending court hearings, taking instructions at client meetings and liaising directly with clients, and attending mediation or other settlement meetings. The role is at times demanding and fast paced, so efficient prioritization, multitasking and composure under pressure are essential. Additional duties may be required as the role evolves.

NQ to 3 years PQE with experience in family law
Experience with matrimonial litigation and dispute resolution
Command of spoken Mandarin preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good command of English essential
High level of attention to detail
Analytical, organized and able to demonstrate initiative
Able to work as part of a dynamic team and independently to meet deadlines
Proficient in PC skills such as Word and Excel
