Opportunity for an Associate-level lawyer to join a large, well-established general insurance team in Sydney. The role focuses on property liability and defence work, with exposure to professional indemnity and recoveries acting for national and international insurers.

Day-to-day responsibilities include client advice and legal research, drafting court documents and correspondence, preparing evidence and witness statements, conferencing with experts and counsel, and court attendance.

At least 18 months post-admission experience in general insurance (recoveries, liability defence, professional indemnity)
Demonstrated experience with recoveries and property damage liability matters highly regarded
Strong legal drafting, research skills and attention to detail
Team player with a practical, client-focused approach and interest in defendant insurance work
