Top-tier New York corporate team is seeking an experienced associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practice. The role involves leading deal work on buyouts and acquisition transactions within a high-volume private equity platform.

Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements, coordinating deal teams and legal specialists, and supervising and mentoring more junior associates. The team advises sophisticated private equity sponsors and corporate buyers across complex transactions.

Candidates must be admitted to practice in New York and able to manage transactions from diligence through closing in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 4 years post-qualification transactional experience
Demonstrable experience on private equity and leveraged buyout transactions
Strong drafting and negotiation skills on acquisition agreements and related documents
Experience supervising or mentoring junior associates and coordinating deal teams
Admission to the New York bar
