M&A / Shareholder Activism Associate — New York

An established corporate practice is seeking an associate with 4–7 years of experience to join its M&A team, focused on shareholder activism defense. The group advises public companies on high-stakes contests and takeover situations, and this role sits at the center of that work.

The position offers direct collaboration with senior partners on complex, time-sensitive matters, meaningful client contact, and the chance to help shape the growth of the activism defense offering. Candidates should bring a strong public company M&A foundation and a genuine interest in governance and defense strategy.

• 4–7 years of experience in M&A and corporate governance
• Strong background in public company M&A
• Expertise in securities law, Delaware law, and corporate governance
• Hands-on experience advising public companies on shareholder activism and takeover defense
