Associate — Property & Liability (Insurance)

A national insurance practice is hiring Associates to join its Property & Liability team across Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool. The team handles a broad mix of property damage and liability work for insurers and managing general agents, including higher-value and technically complex matters.

Associates will work on general property damage and public liability claims alongside specialist streams such as subsidence, construction (including CAR and latent defects), rail liability and subrogation recoveries. The role offers exposure to litigation and coverage advisory work, with scope to manage files from instruction through resolution.

• Qualified solicitor (1–4 PQE) with experience in insurance litigation, property damage, construction or liability claims.
• Familiarity with policy coverage issues (property, BI, public liability) and specialist coverage such as CAR/latent defects.
• Strong drafting, analytical and case-management skills; ability to handle a varied caseload and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and client-facing skills; collaborative, proactive approach to team work.
