Join a premier global law firm's corporate practice in Singapore, advising private capital clients—including private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, infrastructure and real estate investors, and corporates—on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing key workstreams on M&A, private equity, public-to-private, joint venture, co-investment, growth equity, restructuring, and exit transactions.
  • Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing transaction documentation, including sale and purchase agreements, investment agreements, shareholders' agreements, joint venture agreements, disclosure materials, and ancillary documents.
  • Managing due diligence processes, coordinating multi-jurisdictional input, and identifying key legal and commercial issues.
  • Working closely with partners, counsel, and other senior lawyers on transaction strategy, structuring, and execution.
  • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting junior associates and trainees through delegation, feedback, and technical training.
  • Liaising directly with clients, counterparties, and financial and professional advisers.
  • Collaborating with specialist teams across antitrust, regulatory, capital markets, financing, tax, employment, incentives, funds, investigations, and disputes.
  • Supporting business development initiatives, including client pitches, legal updates, market analysis, and thought leadership.
  • Contributing to the development of know-how, precedents, and internal training programs.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with strong private equity, M&A, and/or corporate transactional experience, ideally gained at a leading international law firm.
  • Experience advising on complex, cross-border transactions in Singapore and/or across Asia-Pacific.
  • Strong technical legal skills, with excellent drafting, negotiation, and transaction management capabilities.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to understand clients' strategic objectives and deliver practical, business-focused advice.
  • Experience working with private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, infrastructure or real estate investors is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing directly with clients and advisers.
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop junior team members.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and resilient, with a strong commitment to excellence.
