Business Restructuring & Reorganization Staff Attorney

Our client, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking a Staff Attorney with 4–6 years of experience to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization practice group. This firmwide, non-partner-track role will support bankruptcy and restructuring matters across all offices.

The Staff Attorney will work closely with the firm’s internal new matters department to coordinate, manage, and prepare required court disclosures in connection with bankruptcy filings, including the firm’s retention as counsel to debtors, official committees, and special counsel engagements. The role also involves supporting legal research and writing initiatives, including practice-focused publications on bankruptcy, restructuring, distressed M&A, and related topics.

Qualified candidates should have experience supporting Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed acquisitions, with a focus on company-side engagements. Strong writing, organizational, and time-management skills are required, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Active membership in the Georgia Bar is required.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Georgia Bar in good standing.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in bankruptcy and restructuring, with exposure to Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed acquisitions.
• Company-side experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
