Capital Markets (Securities) Associate — San Diego

An internationally recognized corporate practice is seeking an associate with two to seven years of capital markets and public securities experience to join its team in San Diego. The role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated securities transactions for clients in the technology, consumer and retail, and life sciences sectors.

The position involves representing companies and/or underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions, as well as advising public companies on corporate governance, SEC reporting, and exchange compliance matters. The associate will manage client relationships and handle day-to-day workflow demands for a variety of clients with complex needs.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the capital markets department of a national or international law firm and a strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school.

• Two to seven years of capital markets and public securities experience
• Experience representing companies and/or underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions
• Experience advising public companies on corporate governance, SEC reporting, and exchange compliance
• Strong client relationship management and workflow handling skills
• Prior experience in the capital markets department of a national or international law firm
• High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
