Join the Office of the General Counsel in Tampa as a Compliance Lawyer, playing a central role in managing the firm’s global lateral-hire conflicts process and supporting compliance and new business functions. You will partner with HR recruiting, business services teams, and the Conflicts and New Business analysts worldwide to ensure smooth onboarding and compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.

In this role, you will advise on lateral procedures and conflicts-screening protocols, track lateral hires globally, and work to resolve potential conflicts efficiently. You will also draft, implement, and enforce firm policies related to ethical screens, restricted securities, and insider lists, as well as prepare and review engagement documentation and waiver terms in collaboration with the OGC.

Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the Florida Bar in good standing.
Minimum of two years of law firm experience, preferably in a conflicts department or general counsel’s office, or comparable legal experience.
Demonstrable experience with lateral hire onboarding and conflicts resolution.
Solid understanding of ABA ethics and conflicts rules, with the ability to navigate international regulations.
Mature judgment and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong oral and written communication skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with limited oversight.
Detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture and work collaboratively in a global, multi-disciplinary team.
