This role focuses on reviewing conflict-of-interest checks for prospective lateral hires, resolving identified conflict issues, and facilitating the lateral hiring process.

Reporting to an Assistant Deputy General Counsel, Compliance, you will work with partners, attorneys, the Global Compliance Team, and Compliance Analysts. The role may be performed remotely from any state where the firm maintains an office (Texas, California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, and the District of Columbia), with occasional in-office attendance as requested.

This position requires a commitment to work outside regular business hours, including a rotating on-call schedule (weekends and holidays).

Qualifications & Experience

Licensed to practice law in one or more states where the firm has an office (particularly Texas, New York, California, or the District of Columbia)
Experience working as an attorney
Thorough working knowledge of US conflicts rules
Strong commercial judgment and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience in a multicultural environment
Ability to exercise risk-based judgment calls daily
Familiarity with lawyer duties regarding confidentiality, privilege, and client care
Ability to supervise work product and workflow of at least two analysts; prior supervisory experience preferred
