A global law firm seeks a senior-level associate to join its Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice. This role can be based in any of the firm's U.S. offices, subject to business needs and candidate qualifications. The associate will work within a team of more than 80 attorneys across the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Asia, supporting a broad yet specialized practice focused on the unique industry, practice, and jurisdictional needs of a diverse client base.

  • Minimum of 7 years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience, including mortgage lending and servicing, consumer finance, commercial finance, and alternative lending products such as buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) and earned wage access (EWA).
  • Experience with FinTech products and structures, including bank partnership models, is essential.
  • Significant experience with state licensing and knowledge of key financial services laws and regulations (e.g., TILA, RESPA, UDAAP/UDAP, HMDA, FCRA, FDCPA) is required.
  • Enforcement experience, as well as experience with money services businesses and payment systems, is a plus.

Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background, excellent legal research, analysis, and writing skills, and meticulous attention to detail. The role demands a willingness to take on significant responsibility, a strong commitment to client service, and a diligent, proactive, team-oriented approach. Candidates must be admitted to or eligible for admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
