Corporate Associate – M&A and Private Equity (Mid-Level/Senior)

Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking highly qualified associates with a minimum of four years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity to join their mid-level and senior associate classes. This role is based in Los Angeles or Costa Mesa and offers the opportunity to work on complex, transformational transactions within a premier corporate practice.

About the Practice:

• Advise on the full spectrum of M&A engagements, from routine deals to the most complex and transformative transactions.
• Support leading private equity firms through the entire investment lifecycle, from initial investment to exit, including cross-border carve-outs, spinoffs, and going-private transactions.
• Collaborate with a global, cross-disciplinary team of deal makers and industry specialists to deliver pragmatic, commercial advice.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assist in executing sophisticated M&A and private equity transactions, including due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and deal management.
• Provide strategic counsel on regulatory, antitrust, and corporate governance matters.
• Work closely with senior associates and partners to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity at a major law firm.
• Strong transactional skills, including drafting and negotiating deal documents.
• Excellent academic credentials and a proven record of handling complex matters.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities.
