Corporate M&A Associate — Charleston

Join a national law firm’s Charleston corporate team as a mid-level M&A associate. The role focuses on buy- and sell-side transactional work, with opportunities to take significant closing responsibility and work across private equity-related matters.

You will work with experienced lawyers who provide active mentoring and progressive responsibility. The group values self-starters who can manage transactions independently, collaborate on complex deals, and deliver high-quality client service.

• 3–5 years' corporate/M&A experience (mid-level associate)
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating merger agreements, stock and asset purchase agreements, LOIs and related documents
• Transactional closing experience and conducting due diligence reviews
• Familiarity with partnership, joint venture and LLC operating agreements; private equity transaction experience preferred
• Strong academic record, excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to work independently and in teams
