Corporate M&A / Private Equity Associate — Chicago

Established national corporate practice is seeking a mid-level associate to join its M&A and private equity team in Chicago. The role will involve working on a variety of transactional matters across buyouts, acquisitions and other corporate transactions for sophisticated clients.

Successful candidates will join a collaborative deal team, contributing to deal execution, drafting and negotiation of transactional documents, due diligence, and client-facing work under partner supervision.

• 3-8 years' post-qualification corporate transactional experience, with demonstrable M&A and private equity deal work.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills; experience managing due diligence and transaction process.
• Excellent academic record and references; admission to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction or a clear plan for admission.
• Ability to work on fast-paced, complex transactions and to coordinate with cross-office teams.
