Apply in confidence →Leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join a national Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection practice. The role focuses on counseling clients across privacy compliance, policy development, incident response, breach notification, regulatory matters, and related litigation.
Successful candidates will take on substantive responsibility on fast-paced matters, working as part of a cross-office team on complex transactional, regulatory and incident-response work. The team advises clients across industries and coordinates with other practice groups as needed.
This role is open to candidates able to work from one of several U.S. offices (including New York, Pittsburgh, San Francisco/Silicon Valley, Los Angeles or San Diego) and will involve frequent collaboration across those locations.
- 3–5 years' post-qualification experience at a large law firm or comparable practice focusing on privacy, cybersecurity and data-protection matters
- Experience with privacy compliance counseling, privacy policy drafting and implementation, incident response and breach-notification processes; exposure to regulatory investigations and privacy-related litigation preferred
- Strong legal research, analytical and presentation skills; ability to manage competing deadlines on fast-moving matters
- Team-player comfortable working across offices; excellent academic credentials
