Top-tier finance team in New York is hiring a 1st–3rd year debt finance attorney to work on secured lending, acquisition financing and leveraged transactions. The role involves drafting and negotiating loan documents, preparing issues lists, and supporting deal closings for lender, borrower and private equity sponsor matters.

Ideal candidates will join a collaborative practice handling a range of leveraged and acquisition financings and will receive formal training and development typical of a large law firm. The expected annual pay range for this role is $225,000–$260,000, with a comprehensive benefits package and firm-paid basic coverages.

1–3 years post-JD experience in debt financing (lenders, borrowers and/or private equity sponsors)
Working knowledge of secured lending and Article 9 UCC; experience with acquisition financing and commitment letters preferred
Proven experience closing transactions and drafting financing documents/issues lists
JD (or equivalent), strong academic record, and prior training at a large law firm
Ability to manage multiple matters, strong attention to detail and excellent drafting skills
