An opportunity is available to join a busy Employment & Labor practice group within a leading international law firm, working from one of its California offices (San Diego, Los Angeles, or Santa Monica). The role offers broad, sophisticated employment law work across both litigation and counseling.

The group is seeking an associate with two to five years of experience handling case development, legal research and writing, all aspects of discovery, witness interviews and investigations, and brief writing. The ideal candidate will also bring strong employment counseling skills, including advising clients on policies and practices, statutory and regulatory compliance, and employment and separation agreements.

This is a collegial, hands-on team that values strong academic credentials, exceptional communication and legal writing skills, motivation and initiative, and a commitment to training and mentoring junior associates.

2–5 years of broad employment law experience
Experience in case development, legal research and writing, discovery, witness interviews/investigations, and brief writing
Strong employment counseling skills, including policy advice, statutory/regulatory compliance, and employment/separation agreements
Strong academic credentials and exceptional legal writing and communication skills
Current admittance to the California bar
High level of motivation and initiative; willingness to train and mentor junior associates
