An opportunity is available to join a sophisticated Employment & Labor practice group, working from one of several California offices. The team handles a broad mix of employment litigation and counseling for a diverse client base.

The role offers genuine breadth: you will develop cases, conduct legal research and writing, manage all aspects of discovery, conduct witness interviews and investigations, and draft briefs. Alongside litigation, you will advise clients on employment policies and practices, statutory and regulatory compliance, and employment and separation agreements.

The firm is looking for a motivated self-starter with strong academic credentials and exceptional communication and legal writing skills, who is also willing to help train and mentor junior associates.

Two to five years of broad, sophisticated employment law experience
Experience in case development, legal research and writing, all aspects of discovery, witness interviews or investigations, and brief writing
Strong employment counseling skills, including advising on policies and practices, statutory and regulatory compliance, and employment and separation agreements
Strong academic credentials and exceptional communication and legal writing skills
High level of motivation and initiative, with a willingness to train and mentor junior associates
Current admission to the California bar
