Our client is a leading global law firm seeking an associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Energy, Transportation & Infrastructure practice. This role will focus on transactional work in the renewable energy and energy transition space, representing sponsors, developers, investors, financial institutions, and other market participants.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on project finance and tax equity transactions in the U.S. renewables and power sector
  • Supporting energy project development, including negotiation of material project agreements (e.g., PPA, EPC, O&M)
  • Managing complex transactions and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Interacting directly with clients and maintaining strong client relationships

The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable with client interaction and managing complex deals. Prior law firm experience is required, and candidates must be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where the office is located. This position is available in New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and Houston; candidates should apply to their preferred office. The target salary range is $310,000–$445,000, with bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.

  • 3+ years of experience in energy or infrastructure transactional work
  • Experience with project finance and tax equity in the U.S. renewables and power sector
  • Energy project development experience, including negotiating PPA, EPC, O&M agreements
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and client management skills
  • Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Prior law firm experience required
