An Am Law 200-caliber firm in Texas is seeking a lateral partner to join and help grow its market-leading energy practice. The role offers the opportunity to work across the full energy spectrum—from project finance and land/dirt work to midstream—within a supportive, collaborative platform that contrasts with eat-what-you-kill models. The firm is rebuilding its Texas bench (Houston and Dallas) and sees this as a strategic replacement and growth hire. The incoming partner will work alongside a well-established team and benefit from the firm's strong capital markets, data centers, and energy focus. This is an exceptional opportunity for a junior or established partner with a strong client following to contribute to a $25 million practice with significant growth potential.
- Partner-level experience (including junior partners) in energy, with a focus on project finance, land/dirt work, and/or midstream
- Proven ability to originate and manage client relationships
- Strong portable book of business
- Transactional experience across the energy spectrum; downstream expertise is not needed at this time
- Admission to (or ability to become admitted in) Texas
If the fit is not obvious on paper, it is still worth a conversation — the specification tends to follow the practice.
