An established law firm is seeking a mid-level or senior associate to join its ERISA and Executive Compensation practice in Washington, DC.

The role involves working within teams as well as independently managing components of transactions. The associate will represent public and private companies on tax and securities law issues related to equity-based arrangements and other incentive compensation plans.

Experience with ERISA and employee benefit plans is a plus. The firm offers a collaborative, collegial, and entrepreneurial atmosphere where lawyers and professional staff work across practice areas and geographies.

4–7 years of relevant experience
Experience working in teams and managing components of transactions independently
Specific experience representing public and private companies on tax and securities law issues in connection with equity-based arrangements and other incentive compensation plans
Experience with ERISA and employee benefit plans is a plus
Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Relevant bar admission preferred
